Job Description:

The MATEC Training Coordinator, located in Kansas City and St. Louis, will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of HIV educational programs for Missouri. In addition, this trainer will be part of a team for the implementation of larger programs. Meetings, timely completion of paperwork, data management, reports, and travel are also a part of this job.

Essential Functions:

  • Markets and builds relationships with medical providers and associations to offer HIV related training programs Missouri (webinars, in person, technical assistance).
  • Collaborates with ASOs or other HIV related federal programs to develop, implement and evaluate HIV education to broader groups of participants.
  • Seeks and secures faculty for educational programs.
  • Identify, coordinate and implement educational programs that facilitate Opt Out HIV Testing in collaboration with Opt Out Testing Coordinators
  • Attends meetings related to MATEC-MO
  • Identifies and updates contact information to maintain an email distribution list for assigned geographical area of the state.
  • Develops and distributes monthly MATEC-MO newsletter.
  • Recruit sites/users to utilize MATEC-MO e-learning courses
  • Works in collaboration with the State of Missouri to develop Medical Case Management Certification program (develop online and skill building modules, administer Adobe Connect learning platform, plan and implement Case Management Education Training Seminar
  • Build relationship with FQHC to provide coaching, goal setting and clinical resources in alignment with the HIV Care Continuum as the clinic transforms HIV practice delivery.
  • Completes all paperwork and responsible for data management.
  • Works with the Program Manager or Director for completion of all reports due to MATEC’s Regional Office/HRSA.
  • Works collaboratively with the Clinic’s Consumer Advisory Council.
  • Completes other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of health care and practice with diverse populations and cultures.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee regularly is required to stand, and move about.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will travel frequently by automobile, within the state and is exposed to changing weather conditions. In addition, travel by plane may also occur to various meetings and conferences.
  • Work in this job may include evening and day times; some weekends may be needed as well.
  • The employee will regularly have to lift up to fifteen pounds.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with HIV Prevention, Care and Training.
