Job Description:

The Patient Registration Clerk performs clerical duties including answering the telephones, scheduling appointments, processing paperwork for daily clinical operations, greeting and registering patients, filing, copying and faxing as needed.

Essential Job Functions:
* Performs general office duties such as filing, copying, faxing and answering multiple line telephone system.
* Follows procedures for delivering messages and transferring calls.
* Accurately schedules appointments.
* Greets and assists patients and visitors.
* Assures that all patients/clients are checked in promptly, according to procedure and are routed to the appropriate areas.
* Processes patients through check-in for daily appointments and accurately update demographic, insurance information and patient information in Greenway.
* Calls to remind patients of appointment.
* Processes patients through checkout, collect donations, sliding fee scale payments, co-pays, and schedule future appointments.
* Processes necessary paperwork
* Participates in Quality Improvement processes and activities in the organization.
* Sorts and distributes mail and faxes.
* Maintains patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Regular Full-time 40 hours per week

Experience and Skills:

* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
* One (1) year of customer service experience required, previous medical receptionist or front office experience preferred.
* Ability to relate to a broad and diverse spectrum of the community.
* High Level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
* Bilingual Preferred
